이 수업은 인공지능 기반의 영어 학습 프로그램을 이용하여 기초 영어를 습득하는 과목으로서, 자기 관리 역량과 의사 소통 능력을 갖춘 실용적인 인재를 양성하기 위해 설계되었다. 수업을 위해 학습자는 교수의 지도하에 자신의 학습 목표를 설정하고,구체 적인 학습 활동 계획을 기록한다.학습자는 목표를 달성하기 위해 인공지능 영어 학습프로그램을 이용하여 기초 어휘,구문 이해와 연습,듣기,말하기의 언어 영역을 고르게 학습하고,교수의 강의를 통해 중요한 내용을 보완한다. 특히 본수업은 인공 지능 영어1-R(독해중심)로서, 기초적 인 어휘,문법,독해 학습을 병행한다.평가는 학습설계,학습 참여 과정(시간,적극적 활동여부를 보여주는 학습일지 작성), 중간/기말고사,포트폴리오등을 가지고 이루어지며,자기 주도적 목표 달성을 위한 성실하고 지속적인 학습활동와 성취 과정에 중점을 둔다.

  이 수업은 인공 지능 기반의 프로그램을 이용하여 중급영어를 습득하는 과목으로서 자기관리역량과 의사소통역량을 갖춘 실용적 인재를 양성하기 위해 설계되었다.수업을 위해 학습자는 자신의 학습목표를 설정하고, 주어진 학습 활동 목록을 기반으로 교수의 지도하에 구체적인 학습계획을 설계한다. 학습자는 목표를 달성하기 위해 인공 지능 기반의 프로그램을 이용하여 어휘,문장구조,듣기,말하기등의 활동을 수행한 후,강의를 통해 주요 활동과 주제들을 점검하고 말하기를 훈련한다.평가는 학습설계, 학습 참여 시간,발표,포트 폴리오와 같이 자기 주도적 목표를 달성하기 위한 지속적인 성취 과정에 중점을 둔다.

본 과목은 탐험과 환경 보호를 통해 세상에 공헌하고, 지구와 인류 그리고 ‘우리’를 둘러싼 살아있는 자연의 이야기를 심도 깊게 전하는 글로벌 미디어를 대표하는 종합교양지 National Geographic를 독해 전문 교재로 만든 Reading Explorer4를 주교재로 하여, 꾸준한 영문 읽기 연습과 주요 문법 학습을 통해, 어휘력, 구문 이해/ 분석력,주제찾기,단락요지이해,구문의논리적.비판적 읽기 등을 학습하여 영어 독해 능력을 향상시키는 것을 목적으로 한다. 또한 동시대지구의 다양한 이슈들을 읽으면서, 지구촌 시민으로서의 책임과 의무를 알고, 지구와 인류의 미래를 위한 올바른 삶을 설계하는 글로벌 인재의 소양을 기른다. 나아가 영어 독해 능력을 바탕으로 각 전공 분야의 원서, 저널, 논문 읽기와, 토익, 토플등 각종 공인 영어 시험의 독해 부분의 고득점을 준비한다. 

This course is designed for first-year Hallym University students at the B2 level to practice and refine their interpersonal and

This course is designed for Hallym University students with an intermediate level of English comprehension

 (CEFR A2 - B1 or TOEIC 450 - 600 equivalent) to teach them about navigating social media in an English environment. 

Through the course, students will experience reading and listening to a variety of media forms as well as developing their own material. The course will develop their ability to function in English on social media platforms as well as develop their understanding and ability to produce worthwhile contributions to the international world. 

This course is designed for Hallym university students with pre-intermediate to intermediate level of English comprehension (CEFR A2-B1 or TOEIC 450-600 equivalent) to practice and strength their proficiency in interpersonal and interpretive communication skills for daily life. Students will view and discuss various English language movies from different cultures, and not only learn about new cultures, but also obtain confidence in their ability to express their opinions in English through extensive group discussions with their peers.

Level: Intermediate(중급)

Focused Skills: communication skills (말하기, 듣기, 효과적 소통)

This course is designed for Hallym university students with an intermediate level of English comprehension. 

The aim of the course is to help students develop English communication skills suitable for the Fourth Industrial Revolution. 

Students will learn and practice how to think creatively and critically and how to express their opinions in English. 

The various activities, pair work, group work, and materials used in classes, i.e. real stories and TED Talk videos will help students 

think creatively and communicate effectively. Also, the active use of updated ICT (Information Communication Technology) 

such as Quizlet, Grammarly, Google search, and Google Form will be introduced and encouraged into the class activities to manage the class interestingly and effectively.

This course is designed for Hallym University students with per-intermediate to intermediate level of English comprehension

(CEFR B1 or TOEIC 600 equivalent) to teach them to communicate effectively in English in professional contexts. 

Students will expand their English vocabulary, improve their ability to write and speak in English in both social and 

professional interactions, and learn terminology and skills that they can apply to business negotiations, telephone conversations, 

written reports and emails, and professional presentations. 

This course is designed for Hallym University students with English proficiency at the intermediate level 

(CEFR B1 - TOEIC 600 equivalent - and above) to enhance their critical and creative thinking skills. 

Throughout the course, students will read and discuss various literary works mainly focusing on plays for theatre. 

Students will also watch film adaptations of some dramatic works as well as video clips of recorded performance of theatrical 

and virtual reading. This course aims to improve students’ literacy skills (reading/writing/speaking/listening) using dramatic 

texts that are created to flow like natural language and provide them with opportunities to participate in authentic 

language situations. At the end of the course, students will have gained confidence in reading literary works and 

analysing plot/character development in context with the improved communication skills through discussions and presentations. 

본 과목은 대중에게 널리 알려진 스테디셀러 작품들을 영어로 발표한 것들 중에서 내용의 수준과 흥미로운 주제, 

형식의 다양성을 중심으로 엄선된 소설, 시, 드라마, 연설문, TED Talks 등을 읽고, 보고, 청취하고, 독후활동으로 자신의 생각을 정리하고 발표하는 활동을 중심으로 구성된다. 주어진 작품들을 폭넓게 이해하기 위해, 관련된 배경 지식 예를 들어 문화적, 예술적 배경 지식을 얻을 수 있는 자료들을 탐색하고, 타문화, 타인의 삶에 대한 이해와 공감의 폭을 넓히고, 

나의 삶을 위한 지혜를 찾는 과정을 통해 인문학적 소양을 기른다. 또한 꾸준한 영문 읽기를 통해 영어 어휘, 구문 이해, 영어독해 능력을 향상시키고, 읽기를 즐거움을 배우며, 글로벌 교양인로서의 의사 소통의 수준을 높인다.
